The Best of Romantic Germany

Day 1: COLOGNE
After arrival in Cologne, independent check in to your hotel, balance of the day free to explore this city on the Rhine.

Day 2:  COLOGNE/KOBLENZ
After a late breakfast, board your train for your short but very scenic ride along the Rhine to Koblenz, where you will spend the night. You will have time to explore this historic city.

Day 3:  KOBLENZ/RHINE CRUISE/RUDESHEIM
This is the day to enjoy the Romantic Rhine. Board your sightseeing ship for a full day of cruising this magnificent region. You will be transported to a fairytale as you glide through villages and castles and vineyards along this most beautiful stretch of the river. Your boat journey ends in the lovely town of Rudesheim, where you will spend the night.

Day 4:  RUDESHEIM/WIESBADEN/WURZBURG/ROTHENBURG
After a 35 minute train ride to Wiesbaden, it is time to pick up your rental car. You are in for a picturesque drive to Rothenburg, In the afternoon or evening enjoy a city walk with a local guide or the historic Night Watchman. Overnight in your Hotel.

Day 5:  ROTHENBURG/ROMANTIC ROAD/FUSSEN
Today you will continue along the Romantic Road passing through such picturesque places as Dinkelsbuhl, Nordlingen and Donauworth, with their high-gabled houses and cobbled streets. Continuing through Augsburg, you are about to arrive at Cinderella's Castle, originally known as Neuschwanstein. But wait, first you need to find your hotel in Fussen, where you are going to spend the night.

Day 6:  FUSSEN/NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE/MUNICH
Drive the few kilometers over to Hohenschwangau, the village at the foot of the castle. Park your car and explore the village and the castle. Once you are all castled out, it is time to get in the car and head for the city of big beer and big fun, Munich.

Day 7:  MUNICH/USA
It is time to say goodbye to this fairytale this morning and head for the airport in Munich to where you will return the car and catch your flight back to reality…. on the way you can start dreaming about your next great adventure…….France? Spain? Italy? Greece?...........

At the indicated time you will be transferred to the port for your ferry to Santorini. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day at leisure to enjoy the sun, the unforgettable view and the most romantic sunset in the world.

DAY 7: SANTORINI / ATHENS
At the indicated time you will be transferred to the port for your ferry to Athens. Upon arrival in Athens you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 8: ATHENS / AIRPORT
According to your departure flight, you will be transferred to the airport
